LWVDK Voter Registration Activities

LWV DeKalb Partners with One DeKalb Votes and Non Profit Women Organizations to Promote Voter Registration in DeKalb

 Decatur, Ga. February 2, 2012:  The League of Women Voters of DeKalb County, joined the press conference today along with the DeKalb CEO Burrell Ellis and members of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority to announce the non-partisan voter registration initiative One DeKalb Votes”.  Belinda Pedroso, President of the LWVDK also recently announced the formation of DeKalb Women L.E.A.D., a collaborative initiative focused on DeKalb County Voter Education. 

The voter registration activities will be conducted throughout the County and will also piggyback on existing countywide public meetings, such as the CEO’s town hall meetings and the monthly Legislative breakfast.

Listed below are the locations for upcoming Voter registration sites.  Community residents are encouraged to come out to register to Vote!  Bring a family and a friend who is not currently registered.  Come out to learn about community issues and how, as a Citizen, community residents can impact decision making.  VOTE!  It’s your right.

The meetings are free and open to the public, and the public is encouraged to attend.
